RECORDS CLERK/DRAFTSMAN

Keystone Steel & Wire Co. is a major manufacturer of Steel Rod, Drawn Wire and Fabricated Wire Products. We are an established company located in Peoria, Illinois, and have been in existence for over 100 years. We have an immediate opening for a Records Keeper/Draftsman in our Engineering Department.

JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Use AutoCad 2005 to produce new engineering drawings from scratch based on sketches, verbal instructions, catalog information and/or reference drawings provided by other department personnel.
2. Use AutoCad 2005 to change existing engineering drawings as directed by other department personnel.
3. Use manual drafting techniques to change existing manually produced engineering drawings as directed by other department personnel.
4. Perform field measurements and/or observations as necessary to obtain or confirm information for drawings.
5. Perform normal "Key Operator" maintenance on the scanners, copiers, printers and plotters within the department.
6. Make copies of various documents using department equipment.
7. File and retrieve various documents, hard copy and/or electronic, in the various department filing systems.
8. Maintain inventory of department supplies and order as necessary.
9. Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Drafting education certificate from college or technical school and one year experience in drafting and print room functions.
2. Self starter with positive attitude.
3. Manual and CAD drafting required.
4. Must be capable of using personal computers and Microsoft software.
5. Must be able to use AutoCad 2005 to create and revise drawings.

Job Description:
The Hotel Pere Marquette is a full service hotel with 287 guestrooms and over 18,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is in the process of a $12 million dollar renovation and is ideally located in downtown Peoria since 1927.

Job Requirements:
Successful candidates for the Chief Engineer position will have a progressive career in mechanicals that demonstrates first hand knowledge of at least one of the three trades; HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing with an eye for details. As the Chief Engineer you are responsible for maintaining the entire hotel facility, including physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment, hazard systems, general engineering operations as well as experience in directing new installations supported by a continuous effective maintenance program and the ability to develop, implement and monitor the preventative maintenance.

Administrative capabilities include the ability to control budget and expenses, purchasing, scheduling and training. The ideal candidate will embrace a "hands on - roll up your sleeves" attitude. Excellent communication and guest service skills to effectively interact with guests and associates.

Five years experience, with engineering experience in hotel environment preferred. We offer a competitive salary and benefits.
